lol, good eye on detail! Was an old storage bin before I converted it into a rodent rack. It had some stickers on it ;p

  5. I love the cage that has the paper cut-out of a dude with the waterbottle going into his crotch, hahaha.

    Cool animals! Awesome STO feedings.

  8. earthling1984 on June 24th, 2010 at 2:34 am

How long do they live. I think the longest recorded captive STO is less than 4 years!!!! But that is because most people don’t know how to care for STO’s! Lucy is about 4 years old now, and still going strong! If cared for properly, I’d guess they can live up to about 6 years.

I wouldn’t really recommend breeding STO’s. Very often one or both will die. If they don’t die, very often one or both will lose a tail or limb. They are not easy animals to breed. They are wonderful pets though! Way better than hamsters or anything like that! Much more personality and much more fun especially because of their diet.

im thinking of getting a breeder pair, I looked it up it’ll run me about 400$ cuz there are no breeders near here but there might be a Expo soon with them. Idk i could probably get them for 250ish there. Do you recommend them for a pet? :D And i love you care videos on them btw that is one of the reasons i wont one yours look happy and they look reallly awesome to have :D .

between $75 and $150 if you can find them locally. If you have to ship them in on airlines, that shipping costs another $150.
